This Lakewood property is a great property with huge potential, It sold for $420,000 all cash no financing, although the property did qualify for financing, it is in good shape. It was built in 1957 and had had an addition in 1963, the addition included a family room with turntables built into the wall and speakers throuhout the house, in a nutshell a 1963 custom entertainment sorround sound system. I come across interesting items in my client's homes. In this case we have a combination stereo and television furniture piece and a stove from what seems to be the 50s or 60s. There is antique shops and vintage appliance stores that I call and let know about these items but strangely there is not the amount of interest that you figure people should have? Many times they want them for free or nearly free?
Businesses that refurbish and re-sell these items take storage space, time to sell and consumer demand into consideration before offering to purchase.
People who see these items think they are neat and may think about having them for themselves but when they start thinking about where they would keep it and their usefulness and practicality they have second thoughts about buying them.
I still think eventually I will find someone who will value items such as these and will appreciate me letting them know about them and having my clients make some money by selling them. If you know of someone who appreciates items such as these please let me know.
